The Art of Integration - "School above Borders"
On 17 June 2003, a joint lesson between the Complex of Environmental Schools in Zielona Góra and the 5th Grundschule in Cottbus was conducted using video-conference equipment.
The lesson was organized under the Socrates-Comenius program and comprised inter alia discussions between Polish and German youth on the conflict in Iraq. The aim of the program is to integrate young people from various European countries, and for them to learn about their histories, cultures and customs. The technical organization of the project was supported by the Computer Center of the Zielona Góra University, the Zielonogórska Cable Television and SOLIDEX which provided, free of charge, equipment necessary for setting up the so-called tele bridge.
