SOLIDEX is involved in the development of Idea HotSpot

For several weeks now, everyone interested in wireless access to the Internet can use a new service of Idea HotSpots. The solution, based on the Wireless LAN transmission technology in line with IEEE 802.11b standard, is now accessible at forty locations throughout Poland. PTK Centertel's partner in the project is SOLIDEX.

The scope of work undertaken by SOLIDEX S.A. comprised project concept development, supply of the equipment, implementation of the billing application as well as project implementation involving integration of the equipment with the existing solutions used by PTK Centertel.
Under the project, SOLIDEX implemented a billing application based on its own SOLIDEX.callnet solution enabling the settlement of accounts with users of the Idea HotSpot service under subscriptions or "scratch cards".

The overall solution is based on Cisco Systems' and Sun Microsystems' equipment.
