7th "Cities on Internet" Conference

On 11-13 June, the 7th "Cities on Internet" Conferences, organized by the Cities on Internet Association, was held in Zakopane and attended by representatives of local self-government from 24 countries, central administration, the EU and IT professionals.
The leading theme of that major event was e-government. Examples of solutions adopted in the EU were presented and other important subjects under discussion included the use of EU Structural Funds and application of IT services in the operation of the Polish public administration.
The President of the Board of SOLIDEX S.A. (Conference Golden Sponsor) - Mr. Zbigniew Skotniczny - gave a presentation on "How to overcome barriers for the development of the information society."
