SOLIDEX S.A., one of leading Polish network system integrators, has acquired eighty per cent shareholding in the WebService Internet company that has specialized for many years now in developing corporate WWW services, internet advertising media, communications and e-commerce applications.
SOLIDEX's investment is an element of the "SOLID ICT Systems" comprising inter alia e-commerce systems. The joint offer is addressed mainly to corporations actively using internet technologies in their marketing programs and developing advanced intranet or extranet applications. The joint activities will also include SOLIDEX's e-learning program, announced in May 2003 - the development of electronic content will constitute a natural extension of the WebService Internet program while the specialized infrastructure, tools and service support will be mainly the responsibility of SOLIDEX. Łukasz Szymula, member of the Management Board of WebService Internet emphasizes the benefits of the synergy of both companies working together, "An investor like SOLIDEX ensures technological and financial support for our further development. We also plan to expand through more complex contracts combining internet applications with the development of efficient and secure infrastructure which has been the domain of SOLIDEX for many years now".
Zbigniew Skotniczny, President of the Management Board of SOLIDEX stated that "SOLIDEX has concentrated for 12 years on marketing efficient network and internet infrastructure, the foundations of contemporary communications for both business and leisure. It is time we also got actively involved in developing mature internet and intranet applications using the extensive experience of both companies. We do hope that we will thus increase the level of satisfaction of the several hundred of our clients who have had to use third party services in the area of applications."
