During Krajowe Sympozjum Telekomunikacji (the National Telecom Symposium) held in Bydgoszcz between 11-13 September 2002, SOLIDEX presented the program of SOLID Systems and Services which is a comprehensive package of solutions offered by the company. The presentations included in particular advanced data transmission technologies which form the basis of SOLIDEX's offering.
Each day during the event, seminars were held at the company's stand. They were run by the company's SOLID Experts and included subjects such as:
- Possible applications of the DWDM technology using the examples of selected solutions
The presentation covered selected examples of DWDM technology applications with special emphasis on the development of a dedicated DWDM infrastructure to serve traffic between main and backup centers.
- AVVID technology - voice and data integration, IP telephony - news and trends
Why is IP telephony an attractive alternative to traditional stationary telephone systems? Where are the hidden savings for the users WAN networks? What other services are offered by that technology in addition to making connections? The presentation covered those issues and other questions put both by organizations which have already decided to implement the AVVID technology and, above all, by those which are still to make such decisions. IP telephony was most interesting to the visitors coming to our stand and, consequently, additional presentations on that subject were organized upon our clients' requests.
- Disaster Recovery Center as a guarantee of continuity of business operations - development and operation
The presentation discussed basic principles of disaster recovery center design and development with the application of technologies offered by unquestionable leaders on the IT market and covered the issue of designing disaster recovery schemes.
